In this latest update, we are thrilled to introduce a series of exciting enhancements that will elevate your BIMXplorer experience to new heights:

  1. Revamped IFC Importer: We've invested significant effort into overhauling our IFC importer, ensuring smoother and more efficient import processes. This enhancement simplifies the integration of IFC files into your projects, streamlining your workflow and saving you valuable time.

  2. Cutting-Edge Dimensioning Tool: One of the standout features of this update is the introduction of our innovative dimensioning tool. This tool is not just your ordinary dimensioning utility – it offers a range of advanced features designed to enhance your modeling precision. With its center (c/c) snapping capability for pipes and rebars, you can now achieve a level of accuracy previously unmatched in your projects.

  3. Experience the New Dimensioning Tool: We invite you to explore the capabilities of our cutting-edge dimensioning tool in action. Witness firsthand how it revolutionizes the way you work, allowing you to create precise and intricate designs with ease. Say goodbye to tedious manual measurements, as our dimensioning tool empowers you to achieve your desired results swiftly and accurately.

By incorporating these enhancements, we aim to provide you with a more efficient, intuitive, and powerful toolset within BIMXplorer. We believe that these improvements will not only simplify your workflows but also elevate the quality and precision of your BIM projects, enabling you to bring your creative vision to life with unparalleled accuracy and efficiency.

Updates

  • Updated IFC importer

  • New dimensioning tool with center (c/c) snapping for pipes and rebars

(It is still possible to load .grx-files saved from a previous version of BIMXplorer. However, in order for the new snapping functionality to work corrctly, do a clean import of IFC-files!)

 Notes

  1. VR-mode is currently only supported on NVIDIA graphics cards!

  2. "Motion Smoothing" in OpenVR (HTC Vive) may lead to "shimmering" effects. Depending on scene, it may be better to turn this feature OFF!

  3.  Running BIMXplorer directly from Revit 2020 may lead to periodic frame rate drops (due to Revit background processes). Saving the file (.grx) and open in standalone version of BIMXplorer will solve such issues.
